Latest from the Bridge Church

Dear Bridge Church Family,

Happy New Year! I hope your 2025 is off to an incredible start. We’re just one week into a brand-new year, and already God is moving in amazing ways here at The Bridge Church!

I want to personally invite YOU to join us this Sunday at 10 a.m. for the second week of our exciting new series, "The Mount: New Year. New You. New Habits." In this series, we’re diving deep into the most famous sermon ever preached in human history—Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount. Over the next five weeks, we’ll unpack the five spiritual habits that Jesus teaches will bring spiritual growth, renewal, revival, and awakening—not just in your life, but in the lives of everyone around you.

Did you know that back in 2019, a social network for athletes coined the term “Quitters Day”? They found that the second Friday in January is the day most people give up on their New Year’s resolutions. But here at The Bridge Church, we don’t believe in “Quitters Day.” Why? Because the Gospel calls us to NEVER, EVER QUIT pursuing Jesus and His purposes for our lives!

Your best days aren’t behind you—they’re ahead of you! God has a good, pleasing, and perfect plan for your life, and He’s just getting started.

This Sunday, I’ll be teaching on the second spiritual habit that Jesus shares in the Sermon on the Mount: Daily Prayer(from Matthew 6:5-8). I’ve titled this weekend’s message: "Daily Prayer: Your Path to Supernatural Peace." You don’t want to miss it! I encourage you to bring your Bible—and invite your friends, neighbors, and coworkers—to experience the life-changing power of this spiritual habit.

Here’s a preview of the powerful worship songs we’ll be singing together:
? This is Amazing Grace
? Open the Eyes of My Heart
? Our Father
? Holy Forever

Kids Kingdom Launch Party
Right after our worship experience, we’re hosting our first Kids Kingdom Launch Party! This is for all current and incoming Children’s Ministry volunteers, and it’s happening in our newly refurbished Volunteer Central room (next to the Bridge Learning Center). Lunch will be provided, and you’ll receive encouragement, training, and updates about what’s coming next in Kids Kingdom. It’s a must-attend for all Kids Ministry volunteers!

Looking Ahead
Mark your calendars for Vision Night 2025 on Wednesday, January 15th, at 6 p.m. in the Worship Center. This will be an unforgettable night of praise, prayer, and Bible teaching as we unveil our strategic plan for the next three years. Plus, we’ll be joined by special guest worship leaders, Reina Rose and the Crowns of Glory Band. Invite your friends—this is a night you won’t want to miss!

Finally, as we wrap up this month, we’ll celebrate a special Offering Sunday on Sunday, January 26th, 2025. This will be a powerful opportunity for us to trust God’s provision as we step into all He has planned for this season of ministry.

Friends, I can’t wait to see what God is going to do in and through you this year. Let’s step boldly into 2025 together, filled with faith and expectation, as we live out the calling He has placed on each of our lives.

See you Sunday!

With joy and anticipation,
Pastor Rob

Food Pantry Update:
For the month of December, our final report has been completed and we served 179 families not 252. The decrease in number was due to those who attended both pantries for the month. 0ur total number of 726 individuals included all three pantries for December. We were also able to secure additional food from TEFAP. This is The Emergency Food Assistance Program sponsored by the US Dept of Agriculture. This program allows you to qualify based on your income or if you are already on a government program. Each household receives additional product that is provided through the Food Bank of Northern Nevada. Last pantry each household received raisins, canned salmon, corn, peanut butter, kidney beans, potatoes, apples, and frozen strawberries. We are so blessed with this additional asset to our pantry. Our need for January is Chili and Toilet Paper.  In His service, The Food Pantry team
