Bridge Church Update
Hello Bridge Church Family,
Christmas is coming fast and I hope that you are carving out some time to pull back from all of the activities and take some time to reflect on what matters most. Christmas reminds us to celebrate Immanuel: God with Us! God is with us today, now, in this moment regardless of what you have done and are facing. Stop, take a breath and remember His is with you!
Don't forget that we have two very important things that will happen as we gather to worship together this Sunday.
1. Be sure to bring your Caring Christmas Tree Gifts with you. We will put them all around the tree in the Welcome Center and then pray for them as we all gather for worship.
2. Be sure to invite your Oikos, you family, friends, neighbors and co-workers to join you as the Christmas Choir will bring us the Christmas Story in music. Pray for the choir as they prepare to lead us and pray for all who come to have a fresh encounter with God.
Financial Update:November 30, 2023.
General Budget: Budget: $418,000 Income: $430, 245 Expenses: $422,266
As we end the year is just a few days, let me ask you to pray for God to to increase our giving as we end 2023 to help with the extra expenses we will have in 2024. Over the last three years, we have averaged giving over $71,000 in the month of December, Please ask God to provide that amount or more to help us as we enter 2024 and will face Pastor Search challenges that will require more money. God has been faithful to provide and we can trust Him to continue to do so now.
Upcoming Events:
Christmas Eve Services: Sunday December 24th We will not have a morning service, instead we will have two Christmas Eve candlelight services in the evening at 3:00 and 4:30pm. This is a great opportunity to invite family and friends to celebrate the birth of Jesus. Parents, children will be invited on stage to join us as we sing Silent Night for the candle lighting portion.
Food Pantry Update: Starting January 4: We have some fantastic news from our food pantry. Starting January 4th, they will now be open one evening a month. In addition to the first and third Thursday from 8 – 10am they will now also be open the first Thursday of the month from 5 – 7pm. We have been serving around 70 families each time we open the pantry so this should allow us to serve even more. Please let us know if you are interested in helping with the food pantry, we are always looking for more volunteers. Also, this month we are collecting canned chili and dish soap to stock the pantry with. You can drop it off any time during church office hours.
Pastor Search Team Update: The search team is hard at work putting together a Church & Community Profile as well as a Pastor Profile. These two tools will help to identify what we are looking for in our next Senior Pastor. As they are working on this important step in the process we ask that you pray for the following.
Can't wait to worship with you this Sunday. Remember, Don't Come Alone.
Blessings,
Pastor Bill

- That the true needs of the congregation and our community will come to the surface as the church staff and committee seek the Lord about what is next for our church.
- That no personal agenda would surface, but only the will of the Lord as the pastor search committee and staff seek what He has next for the congregation and our community. For pastor search updates you can always go to https://thebridgereno.com/pastorsearch
