Giving Thanks!!!
Giving Thanks for You!
I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 1:3–6)
I am so thankful for all of you and your partnership in the gospel from my first day here, 13 years ago this week, until now. I am grateful for your love, service, and generosity in making certain that we are reaching out to this community to share the love of Christ every day with those in need.
As I write this newsletter, through our partnership with Cookies for Kindness and several other non-profits we are in the final hours of passing out 1,500 Thanksgiving meal Kits to people in need.
Here’ what one person shared with us about what this Meal kit means to them:
“I would just like to let you know that my family really appreciates your help for Thanksgiving. My stepdad just got home from being in the hospital for 2 months with Covid. Even though he is home, he still cannot walk, drive, and he certainly cannot work, so it means the world to us that something like this is available. You guys have saved us!”
Thanks so much for all you do to make a real difference in Jesus’ name in this community. May you and yours have a Blessed Thanksgiving. I hope you get a chance to slow down and reflect on the goodness of God’s grace and mercy to us through the gift of His Son.
Blessings to all of you. I look forward to Sunday as we gather for worship and begin our Christmas Series together: Songs of Christmas. Have a great Thanksgiving!
